Cast Your Vote

Only CAAR Primary and Secondary REALTORS® can vote. Voting will open at 9:30 a.m. on Wed., Nov. 5th and close at 9:30 a.m. on Thurs., Nov. 6th. You are voting for multiple positions. The same candidates may appear in more than one position. As there are separate positions, you can vote for the same candidate in each position.

CAAR’s nomination and voting process encourages member involvement, offering opportunities to learn about each candidate and participate in selecting the next group of officers and directors through an inclusive, member-driven election.

Want to Nominate a REALTOR® for an Officer or Director Position?

Do you know of a REALTOR® that would make a great candidate for the 2026 Board of Officers & Directors? Complete a nomination form today!

You and the nominee will receive a copy of the nomination. As part of the nominee follow up, they will be encouraged to complete the CAAR 2026 Officers & Directors Application to be officially considered a candidate.

Nomination deadline is Mon., Oct. 27th.

The application window will open on Fri., Sept. 5th and close at Noon on Tues., Oct. 28th. You must be a REALTOR® with CAAR. Please note: Your application will be shared with the membership.

2026 Vacant Board of Officers & Directors Positions and Job Descriptions

President-Elect (1 vacancy)

Acts for the President in the President’s absence
Performs other duties as requested by the President
Automatically succeeds to President and then Immediate Past President
Serves as a member of the Executive Committee and Budget and Finance Committee; Chairperson of the Investment Review Committee; Chairperson of the Strategic Planning Project Team
Nominee should have already served:
- as a Director of Officer of CAAR
- another REALTOR association; or
- served on the board of another organization within the last three (3) years

Treasurer (1 vacancy)

1-year term
Shall be responsible for the supervision and maintenance of all Association financial records
Will serve as a member of the Executive Committee and Operations Committee; Chairperson of the Budget & Finance Committee
Represent CAAR at the National Association of REALTORS® and Virginia REALTORS® events; approx. 4-5 each year
Nominee should have already served:
- as a Director of Officer of CAAR
- another REALTOR association; or
- served on the board of another organization within the last three (3) years
