Starting in 2025, members of the National Association of REALTORS® are required to obtain both ethics and fair housing training. Cycle 8 will begin on January 1, 2025 and end on December 31, 2027.
You have likely fulfilled this requirement when you renewed your real estate license. Unfortunately, the Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR), does not automatically pass on this information to REALTOR® associations. Per the CAAR Bylaws, an appraiser is a REALTOR®; therefore, this requirement applies to appraisers.
If you have completed a Code of Ethics course with a vendor other than with CAAR (see list below), please email your certificate of completion to education@caar.com at your earliest convenience. The deadline is Fri., Dec. 17, 2025:
