The National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) requires REALTORS® to complete the Code of Ethics course every three-years. The current three-year cycle started on Sat., Jan. 1st, 2022 and ends on Tues., Dec. 31st, 2024. Per the CAAR Bylaws, an appraiser is a REALTOR®; therefore, this requirement applies to appraisers.
If you have completed a Code of Ethics course with a vendor other than with CAAR (see list below), please email your certificate of completion to education@caar.com by Mon, Dec. 16th.
You have likely fulfilled this requirement when you renewed your real estate license. Unfortunately, the Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR), does not automatically pass on this information to REALTOR® associations.
If you have not taken the Code of Ethics course, you can satisfy this requirement by attending one of the following courses at the Hillsdale Conference Center:
You also have two complimentary options:
These complimentary options do not include CE/PLE credits. You will need your NAR credentials to access these options.
**Please note** If you do not complete the Code of Ethics requirement by Tues., Dec. 31st, 2024, your REALTOR® membership will be suspended until you have completed the requirement at CAAR or provided a certificate of completion.
Please write education@caar.com if you have any questions or concerns about the Code of Ethics requirement.
